SMARTY gives mobile shoppers double data this Black Friday

While it can be tempting to get a mobile plan that offers a brand new smartphone every year, savvy shoppers have been saving money by keeping hold of their handsets and getting SIM-only plans. There are often big savings to be had, and this Black Friday, the mobile provider SMARTY is offering deals that double data allowances for the same monthly cost.

Promising superfast 5G, EU roaming, and no annual price rises thanks to its flexible monthly plans, SMARTY is a contract-free provider that runs on Vodafone and Three's combined network. Now, its Black Friday deals are offering users double data on the same monthly plans, meaning they can save big while still getting a great service.

For example, users can now get 50GB of data for £8 per month, instead of the usual price of £8 for 16GB of data, on a rolling monthly contract. There's also a special offer that increases the 150GB allowance on the £15 plan to 250GB for the same price. Both of these offers also include unlimited calls and texts, and there are other options available that aren't included in the special offer, such as unlimited data, calls and texts for £20 per month.

Plenty of other providers offer SIM-only deals too, but often these lock users into a lengthy contract. For example, at O2, shoppers can get 150GB of data per month, as well as unlimited UK minutes and texts, for £17.24 per month, but this is on a 24-month contract, which will increase in price year-on-year.

Over at EE, shoppers can get 150GB of data for £21 per month, which includes unlimited minutes and texts, but on a 24-month contract that increases in price at the end of March each year. EE also allows its customers to gift data to friends and family, so if the kids run out of data but parents still have some left, they can share it around and keep everyone happy.

However, many savvy shoppers are choosing SMARTY because its plans don't come with a contract. Over at Trustpilot, the company has a high 3.9-star rating from its customers, with one user saying: "Great price and better service than my previous provider, who has just increased prices, so I am very pleased to have swapped to SMARTY."

Another said: "Smarty is a fantastic phone service provider. It is by far the best provider I have ever had. The deals, service, and honesty are second to none."

A third added: "Easy to set up, no faff or gimmicks, change your plan whenever you want, excellent value for money. Very happy." However, one user noted: "A bit of trouble setting up at the beginning.

"Once it was sorted out, it has been great, always informative, and true to their word, and good value for the offers on their plans." Another said: "A bit slow but other than that ok."
