Strictly has become synonymous with its captivating dance routines, impressive choreography, and eye-catching costumes, but the popular BBC show has also made headlines for all the wrong reasons. We are talking about the so-called "Strictly curse". Over the years, it has been widely discussed and doesn't simply refer to couples meeting and falling in love while competing on the show. The curse refers to individuals who take part in the show and are already in romantic relationships, only to end up finding love with fellow participants or breaking up with their spouse.
Many people reject the idea of a "Strictly curse" given that many couples have met on the show and gone on to have happy relationships, including Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, and Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev. Strictly host Claudia Winkleman previously shared her thoughts about the Strictly curse. She told Digital Spy: "I understand, it's very intense. I don't believe in the curse, but I think lots of people have come in single and they might have met somebody or had a little romance."
Here is a full list of relationships that have made headlines after Strictly appearance.
